Match report An old rivalry renewed but clearly never going to be the same without the Marshalls. The initial woe of Rorn being ruled out, causing a flood of tears near central park and a day spent squeaking at the rest of the squad for a corrupt Dale vote before a ball being bowled.

However, the 'biggest' toss of the season in any form of cricket went against us, the captain getting another 50/50 incorrect. Some excellent bowling keeping the score down to well under par 167, Noah with the key wicket of Farrow, sorry, Smith, for only 10 would be the defining moment.

In response, Dog rode his luck but he cashed in to make his first 50 of the season. Liam and the captain both went cheaply whilst Stylo and Noah both added 20s and when Dog went, 113-5 left the game in the balance. That said, the effervescent Baines continued his fine form, ably assisted by Fish's quick 6 from 75 balls and steered over the line with late call up Henry to get a good away win.

The dales would indeed be Rorn's as published in the Chelmsford gazette by a tip from an anonymous source who turned up to tell the story with their laces undone, covered in breadcrumbs and some grazes from an alleged road accident.
