Broomfield Cricket Club Won by 57 runs
Match report
Not a day to worry about the weather so Lynchy called right and we batted. Not the best of starts, Jor getting bowled round his legs, somehow, and Dog still scratching around for runs meant we were 8-1 off 5. However, runs started to come after Dog ironed out their skipper with a ball to the chops leaving them with 10 and gaps started appearing. Rob added 30 and Rich returning with 33 added some quick runs to the total. Bainesy found some form and the boundary for a change making a nice 48 until he forgot he couldn't run and fell to a decent direct hit. However, it was Noah who stole the show with 99, unfortunately run out in the last over with the experienced head of NC at the other end not sending him back when there were still 3 balls left. I'm sure his time will come though. A good all round performance ending on 282-7.
In reply, they kept up with the rate but were always losing wickets. A couple snuffed at deep extra by Rorn giving Raj 3 wickets in his spell. Gas managed to sneak 9 overs in as a lot of the attack had better things to do on the day. Dog proved he's better at the end than the start mopping at 3 with NC getting just the 1 this week. Some top work again from Bainesy behind the stumps. Two absolutely shocking decisions didn't go our way either but we stuck at and won by 57 in the end. 4 from 4 now.
Dales vote saw some sharpened teeth this week, Noah aiming straight for NC with the run out situation to which NC reacted with the reverse vote. That was NC's Dale nail in the coffin, comfortably claimed by the veteran after that showing.
