Match report With Thorn away 'enjoying' himself at the Rosebowl seeing Essex lose in the 20-20 finals day semi, vice Foster again took the reins and again won (that's 3 out of 3!) In my defence I did spend my whole week off work rolling the wicket for this match and sunday's Charity Day.
Helped by 1st teamer Rahul's 97 (he could only play at home, honest!), and usefuls contributions from the rest of the top order, a daunting target of 301 was set (on a very flat wicket, apparently!)
After youngster Fisher bowled their best bat, Broomfield continued to run through the order and won comfortably and most players were still at the clubhouse when I arrived, fancy dress hat in tow, after our Limo had departed the RoseBowl a few hours early - well, none of us wanted to see either Middlesex or Kent win!
