Match report What a bizarre game. Having been put in to bat, the top order were pathetic as we fell to 76-8 after 20 overs. Only a stand of 70 for the 9th wicket between the Prince (maiden 50) and NC who both batted very well in the situation, gave us something to bowl at with the Goat also chipping in with a swashbuckling 6. 157 all out was embarrassing but credit to the oppo, they took every catch which is the difference at this level.

We got off to a good start with the ball, Dog removing 2 in his first 3 overs. Fish got in on the act removing 2 more after bowling straight and we were favourites again. Eglin removed the remaining opener and then shared 1 each with NC to leave them 50 odd for 7. We then missed chances to remove both Patel and Davis which would ultimately cost us the game and Eglin the Dales. They needed 32 off the final 4 overs and the game turned. The Goat completely lost his length and got utterly spanked for 20 in the over. Dog pulled it back and when Farrow finally removed Davis for 49, we still had a chance. I believe they needed 5 from the last over and then 2 from the last 2 balls. A quick single to Rich who was moaning about a throw in to Man City at the time and then the final ball just chipped over the infield for the umpteenth time gave the visitors the win and a massive dagger in the title chasing heart. 2 wins needed from 2 now in order to have a chance of promotion.
