Having a Clubmark accreditation means that we are recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as assuring parents and carers that they are choosing the right option.

There are a number of elements involved in the process to secure accreditation where evidence has to be provided. These elements include -

Having a club development plan in place.
Having good governance with documents in place such as an open, non discriminatory constitution to include adoption of the ECB “Safe Hands” and Anti Discrimination Code of Conduct and a Club Safeguarding Policy Statement.
Having Public and Employers liability insurance.
Practising good financial management with accounts prepared annually.
Having a governing committee, to include the Club Safeguarding Officer, which meets at least 4 times a year.
Holding an Annual General Meeting open to all members.
Ensuring all coaches and relevant personnel working with children are ECB vetted including a DBS check

Clubmark is run centrally by the ECB but managed locally by our Club Support Officer at Essex County Cricket Club Board. Periodic checks and visits take place to ensure compliance. We are delighted to have this accreditation which highlights that we are run to a high standard and gives confidence therefore to members old and new.
