Broomfield Cricket Club 2nd XI v St Johns Billericay on Sat 31 May 2008 at
Broomfield Cricket Club Lost by 6 wickets
Match report
After such a great batting performance a week earlier this was a major disappointment. Perhaps it was the new ball and better bowlers, and an awful run out of the 'yes, no, sorry' type. At least the lower order dug in and scored some potentially important runs whilst also avoiding the indignity of being bowled out in just 45 overs.
With such a low total to defend, early wickets are a necessity for victory but they did not come and St Johns got the target with over 20 overs to spare.
