BROOMFIELD CC FANTASY CRICKET 2009


Greetings Cricket Lovers and welcome to the 2009 Broomfield Cricket Club Fantasy Cricket League - a chance for you to show your cricketing knowledge and have a bit of fun too. Rules below.

Update 23rd September 2009 - FINAL TABLE.

Congratulations to Matt Green who gets the £45 winning prize (despite losing out on about 500 points with bad transfers taking out rob and removing himself as captain).
Rob Holmes a respectable runner up takes £18 (a bit more care and some transfers could have won it).
Same amount goes to the Club to pay for cricket balls.
Rahul is the lowest scoring manager who paid the £5 entry fee and for the Wooden Spoon recoups £9 (picking himself as captain then not scoring highly was a masterstroke).

Rules:


Points will be scored by players performing in every senior Broomfield cricket match in 2009, starting from the first friendly on April 18th until the September 13th final friendly of the season.

 

The Points scoring system:

 

- 1 point per run scored

- 10 bonus points for a half century

- 30 bonus points for a ton
- Minus 10 bonus points for a duck

 

- 10 points per catch
- 10 points per stumping

- 15 points per wicket
- 10 bonus points for a 3 wicket haul
- 30 bonus points for a 4 wicket haul
- 50 bonus points for a 5 wicket haul

- Minus a point for every ten runs conceded

 

You must select eleven players with a total Price to not exceed 60. Player Values (see attached sheet) are based on last year’s stats in all matches, with one Price Value per 75 fantasy points scored. 

You can also select one player to be your Captain. This player will score Double points.

 

You only start to collect points once your team has been submitted.

 

There will be a transfer window from Monday 29th June until Friday 17th July, in which you will be allowed a maximum of five transfers, whilst at all times adhering to the team selection rules. You may change your captain only once; this counts as a transfer.

 

Entry fee per team is £5. The deadline for entries to be passed to a member of the Fantasy Cricket Committee* is Friday 15th May 2009.

 

Prize money will be distributed at the end of year club dinner:

- 50% to the winner

- 20% to the runner up

- 10% for the wooden spoon

- 20% towards funding for the extra cricket balls to be used by the Sunday Social and Tuesday 20-20 fixtures this year.
